If I understand you correctly, you mean run linux on your ps2 and then run the GPS software on linux (which is on the ps2)?
First you'd have to get linux up and running which is no easy task, secondly you'd have to install a gui, and whenever you run that gui it's going to take up about 99 percent of the ps2's 32 megs of ram, and that leaves nothing to cover running any gps drivers or software.
I wish you luck though lol, why don't you just buy an actual in car GPS system?
