    I see that it could be a version 9 but not sure as could be a version 10...

    A lot of tutes are out of date for my PS2

    I have the IR port between the reset and power

    Any links?

    you can look at the back of it, or on the main bios screen, where it says browser and configuration, just press triangle to see version info for all devices on the ps2.
