How can I play PS1 backup's disc with out Modchip

hey guys, I'm new in this forum, and I have a question; How can I play PS1 backup's disc with out a Modchip???. I can play PS2 backup's DVD's with de Swapmagic disc, but i don't know what I need to play PS1 backup's disc. Do I need another disc like the Swapmagic type's or i need some exploit, please somebody helpme

if you dont have a modchip, they do make swapmagic CD to boot PS1 games, I thought they usually come in a 2 pack of the swapmagic DVD and swapmagic CD.

thank's for your help but i have the 2 disc of Swapmagic, one is for Ps2 DVD's and the other is for Ps2 Cd's, and i try using that to run a PS1 copy disc but it didn't work, there's no other method than using a Boot disc???

i guess i dont know too much about it. I just got a modchip so i could boot everything hassle free.. sorry, guess i should have done more research

What i do, Load up my exploit to the launchelf, open the tray, swap the discs, go back to the browser screen (under misc/) and click on the game. Works on mine like a charm! my ps2 = v7

This method was supposedly working with the v9 only!

You can use a ps1 gameshark to swap the ps1 backup. I used to use the ps1 gameshark that came in th 2 pack of gameshark 2 for ps2, But you can use any ps1 gameshark even the gameshark lite.
