paKora, I don't know you, and you are newly registered, so I'm willing to cut you a little slack--but you need to chill out and concentrate a little more on what you read here. A vast majority of these people do this work on the sidelines. Even those that do have an actual business set up are now becoming dependant on several links in the distribution chain to get these chips, as opposed to a direct line as it used to be. It's getting harder to get fast, reliable service from the source and that filters down to the install shops. Then there is also the issue with this particular case where people are having to move their sites, update the MX record for the site....the process can bog everything down for a few days. Hell, it took roughly a week for them to get this site running smoothly again when it migrated to Germany last month.
foundmy is a known source and is trusted, it just takes a little time to get things done sometimes. Only 4 standard UPS deliverable days had passed (5 USPS, or extra cost for Sat. UPS/FedEx) since Ghetto placed his order, and he got confirmation the order shipped within 48 hours. By most home business standards, 3 day processing is more common--so he just needs to be patient. Anytime I order something from ebay, I don't expect delivery for 1 week unless I am guaranteed faster shipment. I'm not bashing you Ghetto, it's just a convenient example of how impatient some people are.
As for the service being a "charity" service, in a way often times that IS what it is. Anyone is perfectly capable of learning how to do the installation themselves. There are over a dozen tutorials chock full of pictures detailing on how to do this. I once even saw one guy who posted an mpeg on the dismantling of a v5. How's that for an online tutorial? Many of these people offer to do the work for them on their own time. They don't have to do it. It's not their job. It is a hobby and I've seen many offer to do the work for the cost of parts plus a little extra for their time--occasionally some newbs will even get a free offer to fix a botched job just because the feel bad that someone else screwed them over. So just lighten up! If this were GE or Sony offering to do this work for $200 a pop (which is probably a bit conservative compared to how they jack up the cost of their stuff!)--I could understand someone being uptight about not having their box for a few weeks. By the way, has anyone ever sent an electronic device off to the manufacturer for repairs? It took almost 4 weeks to get a set top DVD player fixed cross country to California. Over a week of that time was spent in transit, so it took them roughly 2 weeks to test and replace a standard IDE interface DVD drive. No delicate soldering, no precisely cut and tucked wires, no stress testing to insure proper installation. Just 16 screws, a cover, a retaining bracket, and 3 quick connect cables on the back of the drive. I could have done the work in 20-30 minutes tops, but they offered to do it for free and sent me an RMA Pickup for the player. It cost me nothing, I didn't have to do the work, so I couldn't complain.
If people don't want to wait for someone to do the job right, then they should try doing it themself sometime. As my friend used to say at his body shop: "I can fix it fast, I can fix it cheap....just remember you get what you pay for."
End of rant....

If it ain't broke don't try to fix it! But, hell if you can tweak that bastard just a little bit more....hehehe.
