Horizontal Screen Position

My PS2 is off center on the horizontal axis, so basically theres a 1cm of nothing down the left side of the screen.

So i know its not specific to the game if its happening even in the memory card screen.

Heres my specs

JAP PS2 SCPH-39000
PAL UK 28'' Widescreen or PAL 14'' Portable
RGB Scart connection (original JAP)

The missing part doesn't look as bad on the portable but still annoying.

Can anyone help please?

ive plugged in numerous ps2's & xbox's on my sony 46"widescreen. they all have this. dont know why, ive used regular coax & component cables, but it still apprears shifted to the right. i just figured its something i have to live with.

are you trying to play PAL games on your setup if so use a patcher to change to NTSC and that should solve your issues.
