As that console does not have a datecode on it's back... could you please tell us that console's BIOS version (late uLE versions can do that)?

A console with a BIOS that's newer than v2.20 will not attempt to look for OSDSYS updates (And hence FMCB won't ever boot on such consoles).
    Unmodified SCPH-77006 with SM 3.6
SCPH-39006 with M-chip modchip, SCPH-10281 NA and refurb Seagate 80GB HDD
SCPH-10000 v1.00 with SCPH-10190 PCMCIA NA and SCPH-20400 HDD unit
    PS2ESDL v0.823B

    No.
You may use Swapmagic 3.6/3.8 to boot your games/homebrew software, or install a modchip with DEV1 (Boots homebrew from MCs) support.

    Sorry to hear that.

The "DEV1" is a function offered by some modchips that allows you to launch programs (Usually homebrew software) from a memory card.

Yes, a genuine matrix modchip has DEV1 support... but not all clones support it.

If you get a Modbo modchip, get to get a genuine one.

    btw thanks 4 ur help...
    No problem.
