Help me fix blown out left channel audio... –
So I was playing around with an open-chassis RF modulator and my PS2 (with a self-installed DMS3 v9 that's been trouble-free since Feb this year)
I touched the right channel audio RCA connector to something that it shouldn't have touched (+12vdc), smelt burning electronic components, and lo and behold I have no more audio from the right channel on my PS2.
Upon taking it apart, it looks like a small 6-pin IC behind the toslink connector is hosed (burned). Since it burned off the markings I have no idea what it was. Left channel audio still works 100% and I have no way to test the digital connection.
My question is this: what is the function/type/part # of this IC so I can replace it. If nothing else, does anyone have a US V9 console that they can pull the number off the part for me?
