Help! Major WEIRD problem with PS2 regarding PS1 games.. –
Ok, I have a Duo2SE in my V9 PS2 and have had it in the system since October of last year.
I have had no problems with it whatsoever, until today.
When I put in a PS1 game, original or backup it doesn't work.
Usual stuff eh? Well here's the weird part. BEFORE it gets to the old PS1 loading picture the screen flashes white quickly and I get a message in SPANISH (at least I think it's spanish), note: My system settings are set to english, not spanish.
The message is:
No se ha podido leer effichero de configuracion
WTF does that mean?
I am booting it properly for PS1 games and everything (with the disc in the drive hold the reset button until the open tray button goes blue)...
Could it be a solder connect has come off? I really don't want to open the system again..but if I HAVE to...
i cant read spanish.. but leer means read. and configuracion i'm guessing means configuration. and No se it probably a negative term.
my guess is
"Cannot read the configuration file" or something.
but i have no idea on your problem, sorry
Well I managed to figure out what was causing it, I had my PS2 memory card with an exploit on it in Slot 2 and it didn't like it. Just took it out and PS1 games boot fine again.
The spanish was most likely due to the exploit being natively spanish, as I believe it is.
Well, at least I don't have to open the damn thing and resolder stuff ^_^
