The PS2 isn't like the PSP. The lockout for playing game backups is NOT in it's firmware but in the PS2's mechacon (PS2 CD/DVD driver chip). So there is no software to download to help you here.

The only way to play game backups is by using FMCB, a modchip or by using a Swapmagic disc and Magic Switch\Slide Card\Flip top combination.

If you want to know how to perform installation of any of the above, please search (Google is your friend)..... many people have asked those questions.

well you obviously did not read any of the forums or else you would know the answer to these questions.
you get it two ways.
1 do it yourself.. tutorial link in first post ,also links in amp2006's signature......
2 use installer service for free( not inc postage) http://psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58851 ([READ FIRST POST!][Free Service!]I can install fmcb for you!)
