I just picked up a v18 Slim (SCPH-90001 CB) and I can't seem to figure out how to get FMCB to boot on it. I've see some one in this forum in there signature who says they have the same version I do with FMCB 1.6 running with ESR on it and I'd like to know how he did it.

I've been using FMCB for the past few months and I've got a v3 and a v7 PS2 which all work fine and boot up my ESR patched games. I've tried FMCB 1.6 and 1.7 and neither seems to want to boot on the system. I've reinstalled multiple times using the "multi-version" option and it just doesn't want to work. I have a Gameshark 2 disc (v1.3) that I used to install the PS1 exploit, then installed FMCB on the fat PS2. If there is any way to get this installed without having to get another cheat device, such as ARmax with the media player that'd be great, because I can't find one around here.

i would think it would be as easy as installing using the multi-version on the fat ps2 did u make sure to format the memory card first this could cause issues...

Yeah, I've formatted it many times actually, even before each install. I was just thinking this version wasn't compatible, but I guess it must be as you seem to be confused too why it's not working.

try using the external DVDELF.BIN of your region on the install. might allow you to install and work on most versions.

That still didn't seem to do the trick, although it still boots on the older consoles

I guess your 90k-Model is incompatible with mc-upgrades.
Does the logo show up, or directly boot to the original OSD?

I assume, you (currently) have no way to run homebrew on this 90k-Slim.
If you have one, a bios-dump would be useful.

It boot directly to the original sony OSD, with no delay

I don't think I could get a copy of the bios, I don't have a chip and I don't believe I can get it any other way. Is there any other DVDELF.BIN files besides the region-coded ones provided in the rar of the tutorial?

If anyone has an FMCB folder that they used to install on a 90001 Slim and would like to upload it that would be helpful
