Ok I have 2 questions. Should the D and A wires have a bridge to them(they are not conneted but have a bridge)? And secondly where is a good spot to get a good pot reading? I am almost done but a little paranoid after the blown V4. Thanks.

have a pic?
Nah the web cam is screwed. On a V4 board there is a bridge of nearly the same value from the "d" point to the "a" point. It is the only two the bridge at all. The "a" is located on a main bus so I am guessing that might have something to do with it. I do have the general pic however for the install. The "d" is bridging to the capacitor that you hook "a" to and the via at the end of the bus. None of the other wires exhibit this characteristic.

bridge u mean pcb track? just solder to point d and point a and try not to connect them together
now tat i look at it there is not pose to be a bridge
See that is the thing though and on unmodded v4 board the exactly same bridge naturally exists. It won't beep on the multi meter but till show a numerical value.
can u get a closer pic of this bridge?
Well even with my crappy web cam that is the best pic I can provide. The actual wires "d" and "a" are not touching but still bridging. And there is no trace on this side of the mobo running into the CD/DVD Rom controller. If you have adobe photoshop you can really zoom in on the pic and it is still very viewable but that is the best I can do. Sorry. But thanks for all the help and effort.
