hi i need some help.my ps2 tray got stuck half way when i was opening it and i had to take off the lid to fix it but i accidentally pulled out the orange rectangle wire(i think its a wire) that is connected from the laser to underneath the whole inside.im having trouble slotting it back in.if anyone knows what to do or a website i can look at it would be great.(i switched off the console before opening it.)

it goes onto the ps2 motherboard, you will probably have to dissasemble your pstwo a bit to get it in

the sheid may have a hole for where the cable goes

    (laser mean back of laser)
(added controller ribbon to aid in orientation)
(these are v4 diagrames, your version may be different, or very different)

Has the cable broken, or does one side of it (the end thats come out) have contacts (about a .5cm long bit of silver)
