I was unaware of the patched version. Anyone know the differences?

The patched version allows backups to be loaded without having to use swap magic for exploit users. It should also work on most modchips (for the ones that do not work in loading backups).

The A9VG or "hacked" version has the CD check removed. It should have nearly the exact same compatibility, just removing the need to swap an original disc for a backup, after booting HDTV prog.

Gran Turismo 3 used to work with original blaze vga elf, no longer works with HDTV elf. It hangs at game boot, with a black screen.
