Just to clarify, an KELF is an compressed and Magic Gate encrypted ELF file.
KELF is how SONY calls it. Probably stands as "Krypto ELF" or something similar.
The auto booting thing I posted on my Youtube is a mimic of a original PS2 GAME that boots from the HDD but instead of having the original dnasload.elf KELF file I put an trojaned DVD player KELF just like the ones FMCB uses. But instead of putting FMCB binary in it I just put the an earlier version of the modded uLE ELF I posted on this thread.
It has been for a long time fmcb was born and i noticed after reading this nice thread i have to go back to the roots of fmcb.
Currently i am "uptodate" and have done my homework, ready to start with own kelfs, but the "over hdd-osd accessable partition" make me crazy...:D
Any hint? Icon, system.cnf, etc. pp. to get a valid partition...

PS: One minute ago i tested a DVD with a V7+DMS4 with the "hack". It shows me an unknown disc format BUT played the Video-DVD...
Will try with a non chipped V10 soon.

I have a v12 modded console
and I can't run the DVD player
and I can't load PS games, only PS2 games
I test it today and the start was o.k.!I can go to the config and see that the browser is updated to 2.00 and mac adress shown.
But if I start to use the browser,my hdd start to run....and a black screen.
It is because i have a non sony 250 gb maxtor Hdd?
Im not sure but I think I format my hdd before a long time with 48bit patched hdl 0.8c.
I dont need the hacked ule to see my system partitions ,except __mbr,this one is hide.
And if I try to use the hdd manager of "hacked" ule,it only show me a part of all my game partitions and my hdd sounds very scratchy....
My "normal" ule show all.
Any idea?
And a question:
Isn't it possible that anyone here patch this hddosd with a 48bit LBA patch?
It uses SONY ATAD so it would be a bit harder to mod than the homebrewn ATAD driver. Anyway I don't see much point on modifying the OSD for big drives as the SONY games would crap out with the bigger drive. Using them with disc emulation is smarter.
The OSD is probably having issues as it detects your HDL partitions out of it's compatible range (137GB) and then "craps out" in that black screen.

The only point I dont understand is the disk emulation.What software(emulator) I need for that?
I test it because a german forum friend tell me that it gives no problem with bigger drives(maybe he mean only that no data loss occured).
I dont use any Sony games yet,who support game saves on hdd,but I think you mean if I use one which support it, this games could not handle the bigger drives and so, the 48bit patch is useless.Correct?Or did you mean only the games,which support playing from hdd?

Does anyone verified the startup ability of any installed game on a european ps2?
I followed l_oliveira´s guide and installed a valid PP.BLJA-00011 and
replaced the dnasload.elf with a disc-signed osdmain.elf from the mc,
but no go... The console loads the dnsload.elf and the osd reseted completly.
Any hint?
