    FFXI have 4 cd-keys to register in playonline and play ... so, you can't play without original game.

    Of course, what did you expect? You even need to register with your credit card number since you need to pay monthly fee...

    well guess i wont be getting that game unless i can buy it w/o the hdd cause i got my own hdd and a dms3 and dont feel like dishing out 100 bucks to get the game

    Lol, you don't seem to understand that the HDD was developped specialy with FFXI in mind. You NEED it in order to play it.

    Well, I received Socom 2 and FF XI for free and I don't like neither of them for some reasons so I'm selling Socom 2 on ebay right now. Unfortunatly, I can't sell FF XI without the HDD and since I wanna keep the HDD, I'm stuck with FF XI:P

    hmm u cant use ff 11 unless its on the sony hdd u would think it would work on a pc hdd if u had a dms3 chip but then u would have the problem of dnas online so it wouldnt work unless u used a patched copy of the original

    o well maybe i can find it for a decent price on ebay
