GTA:San Andreas = 90's ganstas in LA

A buddy of mine who works as a game editor for a big mens mag just told me that the new plot San Andreas is gonna be in the style of Menace II Society - think 90's gangsta in LA.
I guess there was some casting call for some of the parts, and one of the questions was "Have you seen Menace II Society" (sorry, not Cuba's character, as I originally wrote, got it confused w/ Boyz in the Hood, my bad. The interview specifically mentioned Menace II Society) so it seems like they're gonna go for that look and feel. Can't wait for the music in this one, that was part of the reason I like GTA:VC, so hopefully they'll do the era some justice.
Should be pretty cool, I know I'm looking forward to this release.
Anyways, if this is old news, my bad, I just found out last night, so thought I would share.

Hopfully this character will be able to SWIM! Sick and tired of characters that are like 30 yrs old, and don't know how to swim...It's rediculous!
I'm sure the music will be great as it always is. Online feature they probably won't have, but it'd be nice if they did.
Theres a lot of improvements they should make.

I wouldnt count on that priminal. Black people dont know how to swim. Plus where would you swim, the LA river? LOL
The game sounds awesome. Boys n the Hood(the one Cuba is in) game would be awesome, although knowing these people the game will im sure be much more like menace to society.

Well from what I understand it's going to be a combination of LA and San Francisco, so I suppose there could be some large bodies of water.

San Andreas? That sounded more like a Blood in Blood out type of theme.... With Menace II Society I was expecting somewhere along the lines of GTA: Compton.... or GTA: Watts even GTA: Long Beach

Well San Andreas makes sense as you can use both all of LA and the bay area, rather than just LA or part of it. I doubt theyll use real city names, maybe use LA and SF, but i can say for sure they wont specify compton etc. Just like in GTA3.
