Hey guys! Im having a problem running a God of War 2 dvd5 iso. It always freezes after kratos shrinks. I am using hdloader 0.8c without a modchip. I cannot connect the hdd to my computer since the computer is in a bad location to pull out and take apart, so I am ftping thhe iso using hdl dumb. Any fixes?

Well the problem is that my disk is sooo scratched up it isn't even funny. This iso is from my friend who put it on a usb stick. It runs fine on his ps2. Is there any way you can rip a scratched game? I left hdloader on overnight and it went up by only one percent. I used a multiple cd repair tools( the spinning thingys with solution) yet it still has problems. I just want to finally finish the game

Can't you rip it on your PC?

Nope. Ive tried with dvd decrypter and it always gives me an error after 4 bars into process. I have also tried alcohol 120% with the same results.

Can't your friend borrow his copy so you can rip it yourself, or rent one!

GameStation do a disc resurfacing service for £1 a disc or you could buy a Skip doctor CD Repair type Kit, Datel make one now too http://uk.codejunkies.com/Products/C..._EF000353.aspx
I recommend using UltraISO first though and tick "Skip Bad Sectors" if that doesn't work try the above and retry.
Otherwise rip the ISO from your HDD using Winhip or HDLDumb then patch it with the ESR patcher and burn it to a DVD.

Thanks a bunch for replying guys, but as I said, I got the iso from a friend which he got from someplace (for sure he doesn't have the game). Also as for the thing to fix the disk, I don't have a job and my parents would never pay for fixing my game (+ I pay in $ so that would be more expensive lol). I just left it near the media center one day and now there is one deep scratch running from the top of the disk to the whole.
The disk scratch fixers are my dad's. One is made by Dj auto max and the other is memorex. I ran disk through a few times
