Arrrrrrrrrr, I just backed up me first DVD game this weekend, so I did. It was WAY easier than I a thought it to be. I used me shipmate's SONY DVD-r/+r/rw burner, Alcohol 120% to create/burn the image, and me media was Verbatim (blue bottoms). The backup loads and plays just as fast as me orginal. I was very happy with how it all turned out, so I was.

Here's the weird thing though, we tried ta load Record Now Max on 'is PC, and it wouldn't see 'is DVD burner. He has DVDxCopy, some sony burning program, and Alcohol 120% They all see 'is DVD burner, but Max wouldn't. Not that it be important or anything, I'm a just a might curious as ta why this could be.

Make sure he is using the newest version, 4.50. If not, you can upgrade to it by downloading this file. After you have done that or if you already have 4.50, download the latest px engine update here. Your problem should now be gone.

Is your drive set as master or slave? It is best to have it set as master. make sure you have RecordNow Max 4.50 too.

That drive probably was'nt around when that version of the software was produced. I had some trouble with prassi's primo dvd software not recognizing my pioneer a03 when I upgraded the firmware. I upgraded the software and it worked fine. Alcohol 120 is really good.

hmm bighap, I had version 4.12 when I tried backing up NFL 2k3, dont know if you remember the post on how the game commentary was out of sync with the game on the backup. I am going to try it with this version thanks.

UPDATE. I tried to install the 4.50 version and I get "Cannot find a valid version of this software to upgrade. Please make sure you are using the correct update version"

Try uninstalling 4.12 and reinstalling it. Then try the upgrade again.
