Getting to a Version 7 Mother Board
Getting to a Version 7 Mother Board –
How do I get to a mother board in a version 7 I accidentally ripped out the wire from the power reset so I need to replace it any thoughts links suggestions would help the ribbon is still connected to the buttons!
Once you have the cover off take out the screw by the power button and the 2 around the controller ports. The board will lift out. You don't have to pull it out all the way to get the ribbon back in. Just lift it a little and that will be enough room. It may also help if you lift the drive from the board a little. There are 3 tabs for that. One in front and 2 in the back.
Thanks! I figured it out though! I also figured out that you set the tray to the default and let the system do the rest of the work thats why it was not opening! I bought a blank mod chip and uploaded the free code on the web will it work or will it likely break my PS2! It looks like my Duo2Se and Neo Bright! Also with the neo bright what is the dirt on it will it screw up a ps2 if installed and if yes how long would it likely take! would it be worth it to buy expensive mods when installing for customers or stick to cheap ones (they are more likely to buy from me if I keep them cheap! Does the neo bright work at all? anywho back to my Mother board question! How would I get to it if I wanted to put in the Duo2Se/neo bright/free source mod in a version 7? I can't seem to get to the mother board itself! I have installed on different versions it is just this one won't come out so I can chip it! I actually think I have modded on a version 7 it is just this one! any suggestions?
yo- acro check this site out http://www.psxgoods.com/ it has the directions on how to take the ps2 apart. and not to flame you but if you cant get to a ps2 motherboard i would be afraid to give you my ps2. your other question their is nothing wrong with install cheap chips as long as their just cheap because of the price. dont go cheap on the performance though. stick with duo's they are around $15. but good luck on your future business.
