gameshark question

Hi,
I was wondering if gameshark or action replay or any of those things would work with backups of games and a mod chip. Also, which would you recommend (gameshark, action replay, etc) and why? thanks in advance.

i got a gameshark2 for $4 shipped and it was still worth every penny (version 4 doesnt need a dongle). it works with direct backups and a few downsampled rips, but most pal games and dvd rips dont work or work well for that matter.

if you want to be legal, AR Max is the best, while GS2 is the cheapest. GS2 won't give you the many extra features and tools that AR Max gives your but its dirt cheap (AR Max $15 to $35 depending on where you buy). if it's a "backup" then price is not an issue...
