I thought it would be useful to post this (I have had this link sent to backup-source.com and they posted it).

    http://www.gamesindustrynews.com/article_001.html

It explains how these 3 software titles for the Playstation2 may be illegal, even though the company may not know about it, which I find pretty odd.

Yeah, I wonder what the stance of the cheat discs are with the console mfgrs. I know someone who got a cease and desist order and they cited that GameShark discs are in violation of Sony's terms. I guess items that are in violation can be sold at major retailers?? I wonder when I can sell chipped systems at Target?

The only reason I can think of is that Datel, Pelican and GameShark didn't sign agreements and buy a dev kit from Sony.
The Yellow PS2 auto-boots all. PS2, PS1 stealth and DVD movies.

no they don't buy dev kits from the console manufacturers and they build their applications from scratch. the second reason is that they constantly state that their product is not licensed or endorsed by the console manufacturers
