Frozen PS3

Thought you guys might want to see this. I can't authenticate this but it looks legit. I'm not knocking the PS3 by posting this, just so you know.

This is from when Sonic crashed on a PS3 dev kit at E3. Doesn't really mean anything, as it's a very early beta and running on a dev kit.

I'm really going to avoid PS3 on launch ..going to try not to buy one until MGS4 hits stores. By then the small and scary bugs should be worked out of the hardware.

The only game that comes to mind is Project Gotham Racing.

This is more aimed at the headline and poster of the video itself than at gelato.

Two points: This is an unfinished piece of hardware running an unfinished game. They both have the right to crash. The 360 is a finished piece of $400 hardware running $60 games. They do NOT have the right to crash. So comparing the two right now is silly.

Second, this is a Sonic game, so I'm not surprised, no offense to Sega. Sonic Team dropped their coding skills when they dropped the Dreamcast. Play Sonic Heroes or Shadow the Hedgehog and you'll see what I mean.

Honestly, they dropped their coding skills when Sonic and Knuckles was completed. I enjoyed the DC games, but they were nothing special. Heroes wouldn't have really been worse, it it weren't for the stupid 3 character thing.

The next sonic looks better. But either way, it's beta software. Beta software crashes. If it's the hardware, that isn't unreasonable either, though it's got to be a bitch for the coders.

i agree, all these sonic games have sucked, the last good one is from the 90's. they need to stick to just Sonic and maybe one additional character.

I believe if anyone doesn't think the first gen PS3 systems are going to have problems, they have unrealistic expectations. They are using new technology.. in a video game system... and with their track record of using OLD technology in their system [slim ps2]... well... I'd expect problems.
