    HELLO, EVERYONE

I've just joined this community, since I am in need of help:

I have just burned a game (Eternal Ring) into a DVD-R at 2x speed, (patched it before, of course) and it started making noises as I put it in the disc tray. It was like a repetitive Dj-ing and then it turned into like pulling a trigger of a toy AK-47 and then the same over again. The screen, like, stopped at "Free McBoot © 2008 jimmikaeikaei & Neme Get it free at : [link of this site]" and it sort of crashed. And the same goes again as I reload the ps2 or re-eject the DVD-R.

I can't tell you which version of FMCB I am using since I was not the one installing it in the Memory Card.

I'm using a fat SCPH-50003 PAL PS2, it should be compatible with most of the games.

    Thx in advance,

    Svaika

EDIT: I was using TX (Think Xtra) DVD-R and then I've burned the same game on Verbatim DVD-R and the screen where it crashed before went black and a message appeared "Unable to read disc." which stopped right there and I couldn't do anything again. All my games that work are burned on Verbatim DVD+R. I had a talk with the one who installed FMcB into my Memory Card he said it's version 1.8. Hope that helps to come up with a solution.

EDIT2: I was really hoping this would be the problem and it was. I can't tell why but it seems my PS2 (model above) reads only DVD+R so the game actualy worked when I burned it into Verbatim DVD+R at 2.4x speed. Glad I solved this myself and would be appreciated if this thread would be locked and redirected somewhere if needed if this would be of help for someone.
