I'm confused... winhip says i have a 189gb drive, 124gb used, with 4gb free, 0gb fragmentation...
It says HDLoader 24bit.
Where is all the rest of my space?
HDAdvance says i have 96gb free out of 189gb!
When i click on Options, i see you can click on either 28bit, 48bit, or toxic.
Anybody have any suggestions?

If i was to buy hdadvance 3.0, could i install it over itself?
Like, keep my games on the drive and just instal 3.0....
Or would i have to copy the games to a different drive and then format my ps2 drive and then transfer the games back over...?
Ok nevermind... i changed it from 24bit to 48bit and now it says i have 65gb free space... sweet. 30gb are still fragmented though, i need to get ahold of that stupid ps2 hdd utility disc.
I called sony and they said they dont have them to give out and i would have to contact a local electronics store.

***Nevermind, i found a place to download it but everyone says it only works on the original ps2 hard drive.
So i just have 30gb of fragmented space i cant free up? Thats crap!

I just installed 4 new games, and winhiip took from the "fragmented" space instead of the free space.
Problem completely solved.

You went through all that when all you had to to is :rtfm: ...damn. But seriously, don't ever waste your money on ANY hdadvance. The "new" versions are just ripsoff's of the hdloader patches.
i think a program called partition magic might be able to help you with your hd problem
I really would suggest you DON'T use partition magic on your ps2 hdd. But that's just my suggestion.
when installing images with winhiip, it uses the fragmented space first.
