Alrite, i have a v4 ps2 and im having some trouble with my ps2. Whenever i load some DVD burnt games, during the FMV sequences, it stutters. It loads a bit, plays like 2 seconds of it, stops, and repeats. This occurs with most of my burnt DVD games, but i know that it is not a faulty disc because i tried them on my friends ps2 and it works fine. Also, if the game allows it, i can skip the FMV sequence and continue to play the game. But, for some reason, this only occurs during the FMV sequences and movies. Has this happened to anyone? I have no idea what may be the problem, but i suspect it may be a laser issue, but im not sure. Any info on it?

Remove the label or adjust your laser.
The Yellow PS2 auto-boots all. PS2, PS1 stealth and DVD movies.

Some PS2's prefer certain DVD-R brands more than others. What might not run well on your console could possibly run great on your friends.

Remove the label? I know that the label will cause a little extra weight, but does that really affect how the ps2 laser will read it?

hmm...well...the brand of DVD's that i got mine burnt were maxell, but i know this guy that does this kinda thing for a living and he says that Mitsui disc are the only ones that are "compatible with all ps2's." Has anyone confirmed this?
