You CAN remove it, but it isn't simple, by any means.

You first need to set up a working PS2Dev environment on your PC. Then, you need to find the FMCB 1.7 (the latest available, sorry) source code. Then you need to edit, to your liking, the "splash" picture found in the FMCB source code using your favorite paint program. Then build it using your PS2DEV environment. Done.

This should only be done as a personal preference type thing tho, and not for profit.

First off, what makes you think the OP was planning removing the FMCB splash in order to sell it or claim that he himself coded it? That is a completely unfounded assumption on your part.

Secondly, I didn't exactly give the guy a blueprint. It takes a heck of a lot of work to set up a PS2Dev environment and it isn't as if just any average Joe can easily throw one together, not to mention, compiling source/troubleshooting errors.

Lastly, but not least, I do believe that my above reply remains within the confines of the forum rules.

Even if he want it to personaly use, we cannot give him src because there is risk of leak. Still, FMCB are most popular "exploit" on PS2 which is... still selling. Many od these "enterprising persons" will be more than happy if they could selling it without logo or even replace by their own. And as spud42 said, this is the reason why src for 1.8/1.8b are not public.

    So please, try understand this.
