FMCB Install with 007 FRWL HELP Please!

Hi Guys! New to the forums but long time lurker, I find these forums EXTREMELY helpful sometimes. So hopefully you guys can help me, I recently picked up a PS2 Slim, Silver SCHP-79001 and im attempting to launch ule but keep running into problems, and running out of blank disc's. First I attempted with Smackdown Vs Raw 2006, did everything right (but apparently not) and just kept getting RSoD . So after giving up for awhile I decided to pick up some more dvds and trade in Smackdown for a different, hopefully more compatible game. I went on the fmcb website and saw 007 From russia with love confirmed as working so i got me one of those bad boys. Same ole' problem, just a different game. After trying and trying, dvd after dvd i keep getting RSoD. I cant figure out for the life of me what I could be doing wrong. I've tried switching the disc at different times but as soon as I go to the NFS demo it does a disc check and I get RSoD. Now from what understand since I can still run the game with the backup disc in there that rules out bad burn right ? Could it be because my ps2 is one of the newer silver ones ? I'm sure I can't be the only one this problem and I'm hoping you guys can help me out, ANY help is much appreciated.
