flex cable was moved and now nothing

I just moddd a v4 with a duo and all was okay until the flat flex cable connector on the mobo fell off. I heldit in place to try and get it in a good spot to glue it and it shifted a bit. Now I don't get a light coming from the laser. Any suggestions will be really helpfull. Thanks

the cable should clip into place with the small brown clip - did it break off?

Yeah the brown clip. When I tried to place it in a good spot, I got what I described above.

well was u tring to put it on while the ps2 was on? Which flex cable?? the power/reset? laser? or controller ribbon?

sounds like the laser ribbons so i'd suggest plugging the ribbon from both the laser and mobo then reinstall it in the laser then put it in the mobo. Yeah u want to put the ribbon in the place the brown clip so the ribbon will connnect with the contacts then hot glue the brown piece
