Firewire for PSTWO?

I have found this site about such an interface? What do you think of it?

That sounds stupid, wouldn't the transfer rate still be equal since in the end the PS2 is taking it's firewire signal through a USB 1.0 cable? Only thing it would provide is a different interface.

Who says the signal is going thru the usb cable?

Just to answer, i have mailed to them and it's a project of making a full firewire interface. It is no fake.

Well if they bump the transfer rates up to firewire speeds that would rock. It looked to me they were just making an adapter for people that wanted to use firewire stuff on a slow usb 1.0 port.
