firewire link gaming troubles
firewire link gaming troubles –
I have all the pre Nexus Armored Core Games(AC2,AC2AA,AC3,AC3SL) and i loved linking them up for battle at a friends house with 4 PS2's on 4 different TV's. Well my V7 PS2 crapped out on me so i bought a new one(I think it is a V10) and in the usual sony style of taking out features to save money they removed the firewire port.
My Question: Is there any way to link firewire games to the newer PS2's ethernet port? IE...either run the firewire link signal through the ethernet port or somehow convert the signal from firewire to ethernet(internally or externally) or even do a harware fix like soldering a firewire port to the new motherboard(I still have my blown V7 for parts). Any help at all, even if just to let me know it is or is not possible would be greatly appreciated. I miss playing the older AC games linked up already-link gaming is the only way to play multi player games(split screen sucks.).
Oh yeah, another good link game that only uses firewire is Age of Empires 2.
