Is there any way to use a pc webcam for the eye toy games, or does it have to be a playstation2 eye toy camera. Thanks.

well, currently, it isnt possible, but it is possible to use the eye toy as a PC webcam because its uses the same driver as a dlink camera...so it might be possible, but you would have to make a driver for your camera that would work on the PS2. to evern consider that, you would need the original eye toy installs the actualy sony eyetoy puts on your memory card.. and even then it might not work, and you would have to buy an eye toy to even try it...
    good luck.

You might as well buy one, considering you can use it in your PC too, with the right drivers.. It has pretty good image quality as well..

since it uses the same drivers as a dlink camera, wouldnt it be possible to purchase that specific version of the dlink camera and use it accordingly?

But like, why bother? EyeToy isn't that pricey and it's no sweat to use it on the PC, as others have mentioned.

Moethacriminal - I'm new to all this, but do have an original eye-toy and MC files on my MC. Problem is, I dunno how to get the MC files onto my PC. Anyone know how to do this or point me at a tutorial? More than happy 2 help if I can!

you could use naplink, or ps2menu, or sharkport. (ps2menu might be the easiest hard route to take. meaning its not simple if you dont know how to do it already )

the relevant DLINK camera has a different hardware ID to that of the eyetoy camera, even though they are the same model. this is why i believe that it is impossible to connect the DLINK model up to the ps2.
