Just bought a new PSTwo (the slim one) as I got a pretty good deal. When I had ordered it I stated looking at diffrent forums about chipping and noticed that a lot of people are having problems with their PSTwos... doh!

Thing is. I'm going to install the IDE hack (hd connect?) and from what I've gathered DMS4 with toxic OS is the way to go. But DMS4 Pro makes the PSTwo overheat, no?

Also. I need to make some "fix" for the PSTwo (SummOne etc). Which one should I use?

So in conclusion... is it worth it? Or should I try to find one of the older ps2? They seem to be pretty hard to come by (except for the silver one, which is more expensive).

Althought imo the pstwo is not worth the hastle, and the fat one if probably better in the long run (no hdconnect, no fix, better laser)

They are hard to find now, and may be more expensive ...

Im lost on the hdconnect thing, im not sure anymore whether the hdloader 0.7c patch makes it pstwo compatible, it says somthing about pstwo

    Ok checked just for you
    Code:
/V - Enable V12 PSTwo support for people using Automan's original discovery
of connecting IDE hard disk drive into PSTwo or with the help of Team
Xtender's HD Connect kit. (HDL/HDA DOESN'T WORK FROM PS2LINK WITHOUT
           SOME SPECIAL TRICKERY ON V12!)
As far as the fix front goes, som0nes fix, the original one, alot of people use that (where you dont have cut a track)

really im not sure, you want one that shuts down the ps2 too, like the comsoft, but im not sure on the versions of these etc
    v4 Gap console - Modded with O2
