??ELF editor ?? Add a splash screen?

Is there away of editing or patching a ELF file?? I have copied over psxlauncher.elf over to MC and launch it from Free McBoot. And it has no splash screen or anything. Just a DOS look. All it says is for you to put in PSX disc and when it stops spinning put in backup and press X. But is it possible to modify the ELF and add a splash screen to it?? so its just not a boring DOS look.

I'm sure this can be done, but it would make the ELF file bigger. Most developers try to keep the file size down since you only get 8mb on your memory card.

Running it on a usb drive would solve this, so I don't see why it wouldn't happen. Let's just hope someone hears you and is willing to give you an answer. I personally don't do that kind of stuff, otherwise I'd tell you how to do it. I think it's better to show someone how to do it than do it for them. (and yes, it's ironic I'm an FMCB installer)
