where's a good place to buy tools that will help you take off specific items from the mobo? I don't know what they are called but you get the idea.

A soldering iron? Get one from radio shack, be sure to get the fine tip along with it.

First, I didn't mean soldering iron, I think that was sort of obvious, unless it was a joke.

Second, who the hell would name a electronics company, Fry's electronics, unless it is a joke.

I can't seem to find them. You know what I mean, tools for taking off the video proccessor or the emotion chip. I can't get any clearer than this.

No my reply wasn't a joke. The way you worded your question is a bit of a joke so don't give me this "obviously" shit. A soldering iron CAN be used to remove components from a mobo, btw.

Hey, chill out,. Don't get so damn hostile. To me it seems clear that most people know what a soldering iron is. If it offended you, your too sensitive.

It blows my mind sometimes of how confromtational some can be on these boards. How many of these people would say this to the persons face? When given a security of distance people seem to abuse their position se they can.

I din't mean emotion engine itself, but a IC I found that heat guns can be used (think).

I just want to expand my knowledege and do something with the pile of flaky boards. That's all

    C'mon, let's all along.

If the chip's not going to be used anymore I just heat the board from behind with a heat gun and tap it slightly with a screwdriver every now and then to see if the chip comes off.

Got some nice cleaned Pentium CPUs but still missing EE/GS (broken ofcourse).
