DVDR Discs?

I am reading some stuff about the PS2 having problem reading DVD-R Games, I have a V1 PS2, and it reads DVD-R movies great(havent try any DVD-R games yet)

mines work fine too i have a v7 with the messiah 2 pro and it works like a champ

That's true, but the V1's have those dodgy (that's the G-rated word I choose to use

) lasers, to answer your question, the only way to find out is test it. but you know it reads DVD-R, so that ups your chances a bit. Hope this helps, hope it works out for you. Good luck!
