hi guys! i bought a import game in a past few week. the game is DRIFT CHAMP.
it works at the begining but it takes me to the red screen(please insert a ps2 format cd) after they shown the HUDSON logo.
now ive heard that the v7 is suffering of a DOUBLE check media.
so if anyone can help me , i will appreciate it.
by the way , i have a v7 with a real magic 3.1
ive done a copy of the game on DVD (btw the game is on dvd) and its the same thing.
hope someone will bring me hope ! :)
your M3.1 shuts off before the 2nd check, alot of US games are doing this now, gonna require an upgrade, either by reprogramming the 3.1 to the homebrew code, and changing the points around or getting an m2,dms3, or magic v.,...i do not believe there is a patch to get rid of this yet.

you need a scenix programmer, can build a fluffy for less than 20 bux.

magic 2 is better than 3.1 ? cuz you said before that i will need to replace it by m2 ...
m2 = messiah 2 NOT magic 2 :p
also, changing the modchip wont be too difficult they share almost all of the same points
fluffy is a type of scenix programmer, it's probably more complicated to wire up a chip to be programmed and program it, than it is to replace with a M2, yes messiah 2

A new chip will help. DMS3, Messiah 2, Apple Pro, and Magic V all get around this problem. Stick with your v7. It is a very good machine.
