Does Max 16MB memory card work on new Ps2 Slim (70012)?????//

i just got my ps2 slim (70012) and I also got a Max Memory 16MB for it.

The thing is that i am playing Final Fantasy X-2, according to the manual it says that a 8MB memory card can save up to 42 saves. but i have a Max Memory 16MB and i can only save upto 42 saves. so it is safe to say that the Max memory 16MB is on reconized as a 8MB memory card in my ps2 slim (70012)?

How can i fix this problem?

P.S i am getting a matrix infenity chip for it so will the MaX Memory 16MB still work on it?

go look inur ps2 memcard browser

all games have different sizes save files... and some games have more than one (like one for setting and another for acutally gameplay) also like dl'n updates to an online game can take up 4mb or 8mb heh

ya it should work on a slim ps2. are those the newer max memory? the ones where u dont need a boot disk to boot games in order to regonize the memcard?

yes it is new one, the one with out boot disk.

but you see according to the FFX-2 Manual it say a 8MB memory card can save 42 saves of the game but the Max 16MB also only saves 42 saves of the same game. shouldn't it be able to save 84 since it is 16MB not 8MB?

how big is the file/all the files altogether? the game probably has a 42 saves maximum limit even if the memcard isnt full..
