if i remeber correctly, it only bans the serial of your ps2 to the serial of the game.. so you can get another game and still play
dunno bout that though, and i dont think BG wants to fork out more $ just to test![]()
u'll never know if u check
today I received a EOA 7-Day trial Demo disc. Tried to connect with the chip on. got an error, then i tried with it off it worked, then I upgraded my DMS3 to the latest versrion, still no good. maybe a new upgrade will be needed
would you be able to flood the address with traffic (gate1.us.dnas.playstation.org) and connect through your computer, maybe not detecting your ps2? i might be very very wrong, im just thinking.
this is a hunch but...
if there's anything possible like this:
over a network, checking what data the ps2 sends to the DNAS server on the computer, with your ps2 + mod, and what happens with another ps2 that CAN connect, and substitute the data...
if there's any possibility, that may work...
any one try to see if DNAS will detect Burned media? someone should try wiht a flip top, swap, or no-solder.
Well Sony has just required all online games as of May 31,2003 to use the dnas libraries, so this is the way all online games will go. This is a pre-requisite to having a title pass their QA process and be approved for duplication and distribution.
does the DNAS check for the game and the ps2 region? cuz i'm using a 39006 and i'm wondering if external switches will help bypass the dnas check if i'm playing a U/C game.
wat i mean is, if i do different region games will the DNAS detect?
i think the DNAS detects any games which are backups, or retail games not being played by the right region console.
