ok, now that I have figured out how to go online wireless, my next question is DNAS. It would sure make me feal a lot better if I knew that there was a developer or mod team working to crack this. I don't know if it would be worth it for me to spend 120 bucks to get my PS2 hooked up to my wireless network if my backups won't work and I get banned because I forgot to disable my DMS3.
I've been reading about DNAS protection and all the discussions that I can find have been speaking with guesses and pure speculation. I can find no definitive answer as to how it works, what can be done and what IS being done if anything to overcome it. Everything I've read seems to be coming from users like me rather than developers. The one thing that I have read that I do believe is that, almost certainly, most if not all future games will have DNAS protection. As long as I have been using computers and the internet (many many years) hackers/crackers have ALWAYS been one step ahead of copyright protection of all kinds. Even if they HAVE fallen behind on DNAS I can't believe that they will fail to catch up. Any thoughts, comments and most certainly FACTS are welcome. Discussion is healthy and just might provide a starting point for cracking DNAS. It makes sense to me that PS2Newz (the definitive PS2 website) would be the place that this would begin.
