DMS3 V9 Premod...(suggest)

Hi Guys,

Am getting a DMS3 V9 premod with the official sony HDD preintalled and the network adapter for $330. I think its NTSC-J (am not sure though). I live in India and we only have premods available over here. They probably get it from Hong Kong or somewhere.

So what do you think guys, should I go for it. I mean considering the the price of the new V9 PS2 with the HDD and network adapter preinstalled and the price of the DMS3 preinstalled.

Please suggest. I have waited VERY LONG to get my hands on a PS2. I just wanna know whether it will be a fair deal or not.

Well the new midnight blue ps2s are in ntsc so you will need a pal adaptor to run the ps2 on your tv because India is pal. You cant play PAL dvd movies like an american ps2. The jap network adaptor works on broadband only. You can choose it if you want. The new dms3 for v9 isnt out right now but it will come out soon. Yes midnight blue ps2s are ntsc j like the HK ps2. I think DMS3 has all region DVD movie playback right ? so I will be able to play any region DVD movies.

And seriously, I don't care about the network adapter. All I will be playing are backups.

, so onling gaming is out of question.

Okay, one more thing. I can't seem to understand this guy from whom I am getting this PS2.

He says that he will provide me with the v9 model with or without the sony hdd at the same price of $330. So its my choice now as to whether go with the hdd or not.

Also, he himself mentioned that it is a 5000.. model and that only DMS3 modchip will work on that (but he didn't mention whether it was NTSC-J or something else).

(also what about the price factor. Is it good or should it less or more. what is the price of that midnight blue PS2 with HDD and DMS3 v9)

(also can you give me the link to that UK online store site where there are DMS3 v9)

Well If you dont want to use the na just get a regular 50000 ps2. They are cheaper and they will be perfect for you. I think you should get it because it will be perfect for you. BTW, The hdd software needs broadband so you are better off getting the normal 50000 ps2.

Even though dms3 has multi dvd playback its still only going to play ntsc movies this does apply for us consoles. PAL and Asian ps2s can play both ntsc and pal due to the frame buffer. Sorry for the replies. I hope you read this. I hope this helps.

Okay, now the main thing is that this guy is providing me the PS2 v9 premod WITH HDD at the same price of $330 as the one WITHOUT the HDD. That HDD is just like a bonus for me.

So was thinking if I do get the HDD, I will still be able to play the other games or is it that it will keep bugging me to get the broadband connection and won't let me play any other games.

I don't care if it just lies there and does nothing.

So I was just thinking what if I need the HDD in the future for some games.

Thanx for answering my "stupid" questions but seriously am new to all this and just wanna get the BEST out of my money.
