Disc only spins when it feels like it.

Got this PSTwo slim where the discs only spins when it feels like it. Constant crackling noises when it does.
My novice opinion is that its the thing in the middle that makes the disc spin thats went out.
If so, whats the name of it? How hard is it to replace?

that optical block would probly fix your problem
