diffent lasers

how many diffetn lasers are there, ive heard there where 5 different types
but i have only delt with 3....
and how can u tell which laser is which?

i know there is the R type which is openfaced sanyo
then ther is the sony with the yeloow/green ring on the lens
then the other sony which has no ring

how can u tell which is 400b , 400c and so on?

and does anyone know which is compatible for each board?
cuz my laser from my v7 (gh-019) workd with my v4 (gh-013) (laser with yellow ring)

As far as i know there is KHS-400B, Sanyo open face, KHS-400C and HD-7 aka KHS-400R I think, there is quite an obvious difference in apearence if you can find pics to compare them, im not sure whats compatible with what as far as i knew you could only replace like for like

dude it says teh laser type on teh side of it on a sticker.....400B, 400C etc.
