I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem yet but since it was driving me crazy I though I would offer up what I've come across. It seems that this game doesn't like the max memory 32 that I have (the one that doesn't need a bootdisk). I've never had a compatibility issue with this memory card before which makes me wonder what is going on with this. The game boots fine from disk and from hdd, however after the reading memory card screen, the game goes to a black screen and just freezes. I actually thouhg I had a bad game and exchanged it only to find the same problem. Once I removed the memory card and booted up without one or with an original sony memory card the game loads and plays fine. I've even tried saving with the original card and copying it to the max memory card to see if it would load it, but I encountered the same problem. Maybe it's just my card because I haven't heard anything from anyone else yet. If anyone is interested in testing this problem out, my 32 meg card has only about 6 megs free so it is well over the 8 megs of an original sony card in use.

um.... who made the game... I know that Sony changed the PSTwo so that cards like this can't be used... so maybe they are having companies do the same on the software side... wouldn't supprise me

Game is produced by Novalogic, I hope this is just a fluke, and not a trend. I've gotten used to not switching memory cards anymore.

Dang I knew it. I figured something like this would happen after I got one of these cards. I just recently got a Max Memory 64MB Memory Card.

I don't have that game but I know it's only a matter of time before newer games are created with somekind of protection. Hopefully some sort of patch to the game could resolve the problem.

What I found most interesting, was the fact that the card was already pre-formated. So the ps2 browser said 64971 KB free. I don't plan on using it just yet but it sure could come in handy for future uLaunchELF developments. Anyway what would any of you use to format that card if it got corupted? I do know that X-port can format 8, 16, and 32 MB cards after looking into it with a hex editor.

See now I'm scared to even use the new card for fear I'll mess it up like I already have done with my other card twice before. I'm just thankful that I have two official Sony memory cards of which I have only abused one of the two.
