They don't make controllers like they use to, its a mass make and sell for cheap prices day and age we live in now. I got an N64 the 2nd year after it was released, have four controllers, two of them play like new, one has a grindy joy stick, the other a grindy joy stick and the R button died. That is of course with regular use over a reasonable amount of years, and still does get used at my GF's house for games like mario kart and super smash bros, you can't beat the classics . The joy sticks however, even though they feel grindy, function 100% still. My favourite controller was the sega mega drive with the additional X Y Z buttons, that is still mint and showing no signs of fading yet!
