    the little plasict snap that holds the contorller cable to the motherboard broke off... plus now the LEDs on the reset and eject dont work but the buttons work just not lights helpppppp how can i fix the snap thing....i tryed super gluing it in place but the glue seeped onto the cable contacts so i managed to get it ofrf tho but im stuck still ?
    NEW , v4 mobo , 400-C laser , Matrix infinity chip ,
    modded with 2 windows and painted white.
    ps2 , V4 , unmodded. (SOLD )
    ps2 v7 with Messiah 2 chip...(Died )

    currently using , infinity manager ,hdd utility tools so i can save games to HD via the brower ,HDloader ,
    ps2menu-k w/ 160GB HD, and networked to PC for game transfers , and media player. damn i love my set up , thanks for the install THINKDIFF <done bussiness with him twice so far and the Mod installs are perfect. (highly recommend if your in NY)

    Projects:
    1.modded memory card with big ass blue LED: done
    (check forum for pics)
    2.just finished the door bell mod , can reset my ps2 from 100ft away (wireless)... just makes me happy!

    looking to start another project, holla at me if u got any ideas..

    Is pretty easy to repair. Just buy another cable (new one), there're a lot stores selling this cable (including myself).

    The old tip is soldering wire by wire directly, but this isn't a nice solution.

    Hmm, you mean the plastic itself? Not the cable? If so, then, the only one solution is soldering wire by wire, or buying an old PS2 (broken) and then use it from that.

    If you can, post the pics, it's a little confuse...

    Solder is possible but hard. He broke the little pastic tab that holds the ribbon cable in. Read his post carefully.

    I made the same mistake on my V7, i put the plastic back on and taped it tightly with electrical tape... works fine now...
    PS2 V5 w/Magic 3, 40Gb HDD, Sony NA

    yeah, thetape should work, just try to fasten ti as tight as possible, you can also use some glue (f ex glue pistol) but not super glue.
    gl with repairing, but I have no idea why the ejectled is not lighting

    the cable for the croller port is messed up aswell, sumone was trying to finx this and messed it up more so im just trying to make it playable again.... i need a croller port cable and an eject/reset cable... how much and where can i get em?
