ok to start the main difference between 3.6 and 3.8 coder is that the 3.8 version has a cheat engine. Either will do what you want.

Once you get the swapmagic disk you will also need to get a USB stick.

Make a folder on the USB stick called SWAPMAGIC, yes in capitals i'm not shouting.... lol

Then the best thing to do is download uLE either direct or the noobie package.

In the folder for uLE there will be a file named BOOT.ELF, make a copy and rename it to SWAPMAGIC.ELF. Yes capitals again. put this renamed copy into the SWAPMAGIC folder.

Now put the swapmagic disk into the PS2 and the USB stick into one of the USB ports. Turn on the PS2. As Swapmagic boots it will look for the folder and then boot the file named SWAPMAGIC.ELF which in this case is uLE.

Now you can copy files to the MC or backup saves. add other .ELF files such as emulators to the USB stick or your MC. uLE can then launch the programs from a shortcut button set in the config or by browsing to the file and launching it.

ESR,SMS,OPL plus a lot more can still be used and the laser only gets a little use at boot. Check outthe tutorials in the relevant sections on how to set up each prog.......
