the problem is my ps2 is starting to die on me it seems. I turn it on and the color is Dark and the screen jumps, But after about 5 min its ok. Then it'll get dark again for a few seconds then back to normal. I've had this Ps2 for a long time now when the Magic 2 chips first came out. By the way its a V7 with a Magic 2 chip (not clone).

This is very fustrading it was working perfectly yesterday and now it acts up.

I think the modchip is dying on you. If it just started happening recently then I believe the modchip may be the cause of this. Try removing it to see if it causes the same problem.

im possitive its not the tv at all. I think it has to do with the plug that connects to the tv from the ps2. B/c where it connects to the ps2 its really loose. is it possible to just replace that part on the ps2?

When it does get dark it seems like its warming up. Happens if i dont play it for 3+ days.

    Try another tv cable then.
