Codebreaker Problems

Alright, I needed a V7 Codebreaker so I went on to BST, and got a copied V7 codebreaker. I tried it out, and it worked, BUT I couldn't get games that were only compaitable with V7 to work (DW: Empires for example). THe team name that'd flash up like PS2isobrazil or something, and somebody told me this was a fake, and probably a V6. SO, Then I just decided I'll go out, and just buy a codebreaker. I bought a V8, and of course it don't work with modchips. THEN, I found a different person on BST that is very reliable send me Codebreaker V7, and again it WORKED, but couldn't get V7 compaitable ONLY games to work (haven't tested it a lot though yet). Both the V7's that I got look identical, and of course the V8 is not much use to me.
Any help as to what'd be the problem would be appreciated. I'm pretty sure the one V7 I got today should be a V7, but dunno what the prob is. Only thing I've ever seen is I know you gotta type in the enable code first, and I've done that.

What you have there is a V7 BETA Code Breaker.

It doesn't have any protection but it also doesn't work with any of the newer type codes on cmsccc that work on the retail v7.0/v7.1/v8.0/v8.1 so its pretty much useless.

You can boot a backup Codebreaker v8 if you have a Matrix Infinity modchip with the current latest firmware of the mod which is v1.35, works great.

Codebreaker is kinda like AR now...They some how stop support codes with the older version...They claim all sorts of sh!t but don't support them...I have the beta v7 that you have and also the original v7 retail and both didn't get the codes to work...I even downloaded their DAY1 file for my retail version but the codes when load, just won't work...It's like they just stop making code for v7 and move on to v8...like how AR did with AR2...I suggest you try GAMeshark and see if you like them...I downloaded GS2v3 and it work pretty well...New codes still support them...I like it so much, I bought GS2v4....not the media player version but it still work....AS for Codebreaker, I stop using it because my original somehow won't boot anymore (cheaply manufactored) and my beta v7 can only input 3 lines of codes title....that's kinda succks....they sucks too...Pelican was suppose to replace my CB but it's been almost a year and i haven't recieve shit it the mail.....don't support them....trust me...I've been thru it all...

Thanks for the help. I got a copy of GS Version 4 now so I got something to use codes on. The only thing I don't like about Gameshark is they don't have near the abundance of codes that Codebreaker puts out. Unless there's a converter for these versions? I know they had them before, but dunno if it still applies.
For instance on Gameshark...All they have for DW 4: Empires is like infinite health and all that stuff (bigger cheats). That takes all the fun away from the game. I just needed something like infinite speed scroll so I could run through the level or something. beating a mission on hard within 30 minutes when your guy runs so slow...Well is down right fraustrating. Bad enough the game is on hard, and your enemies are pretty tough, but you have to fight your way through the hard guys in 30 minutes, and some of the maps are big.
So, is there a converter?

I have a convert that can do ARmax to GS2v3-4....It can do CB but only v1-6....maybe you can get some ActionReplay code and convert them to GS2v4....

The newest versio of PS2savebuilder is out, give that a try too...

what you can also do is get dvd loader v7 all and run it on your ps2 then eject it and place an original ps2 (cd version) game and then swap it with swapmagic if you have one and then it will run on your system.,even with the chip. i have done that with action replay since it doesn't work for my v9 system.
