Copy the main executable ELF from the codebreaker disc patch it
with the required tool
http://psx-scene.com/forums/ps2-home...ht=codebreaker
and rename the CB_launch.elf location of HDLoader to that of ESR leave the "cdstop" option unticked once you done this load the newly patch codebreaker ELF with either uLaunchELF or FMCB then when codebreaker has loaded go into the options screen and turn off the option that says something about ejecting the disc tray and save after that place in your ESR patched games into the disc tray select the cheats you want and start the game as you normally would this will then load ESR and boot your patched games.

The same patcher can do the job for that version as well. I've tried it, and it worked for me. You will get a message during the patching, saying that you have the wrong version, but if you tell it to proceed anyway the resulting elf file will work.

You can always check what file will be started on a bootable PS2 disc by checking the SYSTEM.CNF file (which always exists on such discs). That file is a normal text file which specifies how the console should boot the disc. It only contains a few rows of text, and one of them is the BOOT2 directive which specifies the program file. You really can't miss it.
Once you know which file is booted, just make a copy of it and rename that to something appropriate, like "CB v10.1.elf" (or whatever you fancy).

I am having a problem with this too. I have a patched v10 elf that works perfectly when I use uLaunchELF and boot it off my flash drive, but I can't get it to work when I put it on a dvd. ESR loads, but it gets stuck on a purple screen.
This is what I have on the dvd:
CB_10.ELF
SYSTEM.CNF
z.z(1.5GB dummy file)
The contents of system.cnf
Code:
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\CB_10.ELF;1
VER = 1.00
VMODE = NTSC
I've tried just about everything I can think of. Does anyone have any ideas?

Why do you want to load Codebreaker off a dvd anyway when you launch both
Codebreaker and ESR off a usb device?
Codebreaker & over cheat devices won't work when loaded with ESR.
Codebreaker is normally patched to launch HDLoader or ESR not the other way around so you can
cheat on HDLoader or ESR backups.
