U remember the AR2 + X-Port dont u ...

Well i know it used to work with the v1 (i had one)

But it will not work with my v4 (with a chip)

It didnt work b4, it doesnt work with the chip on, it doesnt work with the chip disabled, it doesnt work from a backup copy

Basically i waz wondering, can someone tell me what sony must have done to stop this (i would like to be able to tell the o2 team, cos they dont understand either)

It gives a DRE all the time (not RSOD)

Have they made part of the bios block these, another chip .....

other chips claim to get around this protection, can anyone x-plain this to me

I don't have any problem loading cheat cd's on my v4 with pnp key. Maybe your laser is starting to go bad, I've had to change mine already. Is your cd clean/scratch free? If it's not that could also be a problem. If you are playing a lot of burned cds and dvds I would bet that the laser is starting to go. When mine died my gameshark v2 dvd was the first to show problems. I think they might be made more cheaply than a regular pressed disk.

Cos it didnt work on the v4 b4 this one ...

My disc is in mint condtion, a couple of tiny scratches and clean

I dont rly play alot of copied discs, but i think the laser is a bit on its way, its not as good as it could be
